VIET, which stands for Vietnamese Initiatives in Economic Training, created in 2001, works to develop educational and economic training programs and act as a resource center for minority residents in Louisiana.

VIET was created to help mainstream the Vietnamese community into the American society and to bridge the gap as it relates to cultural and language barriers.
